The crossing
Ferries sail from Dover to Calais and Dunkirk throughout the day and night, with crossings taking roughly 90 minutes to two hours depending on the route and operator.
Once you land it is around a three hour drive to Disneyland Paris on the autoroute network — approximately 194 miles from Calais via the A26 and A1.
Check in times
- Arrive at least 60 minutes before your sailing
- Arrive no later than 2 hours before departure
- Passports and vehicle documents are checked before boarding
- Vehicles fitted with LPG or gas systems may be restricted — check with the operator
On board
Ferries have restaurants, cafés, shops and family lounges, so the crossing doubles as a meal stop. You leave your car on the vehicle deck and return to it shortly before docking.
Parking at the resort
Parking varies by hotel — included at some Disney hotels, charged nightly at others, and usually free or low cost at partner hotels. We confirm the details for your hotel before you book.

Is there a luggage limit?
No. Whatever fits safely in your vehicle travels with you at no extra cost.
Can we bring the dog?
Most operators carry pets on the Dover routes with an approved pet passport, though they normally stay in the vehicle or a pet lounge. Kennels are available at the resort for a nightly fee.
Ferry or LeShuttle — which is better?
LeShuttle is faster and you stay in the car; the ferry takes longer but gives everyone a proper break and a meal. Families with young children often prefer the ferry outbound and the shuttle home.
